Certain songs, when I hear them, immediately take me
back in a physical sense.
When I hear them, I remember what it's like
to be in my old '94 Ford Escort
with no AC, drinking a cream soda
on the way to work and listening to a mix tape.
An actual TAPE! Because my poor little
car, with its tiny V4 engine,
had no CD player.
The song that took me back today was
"Judith" by A Perfect Circle.
That song was definitely on one of my mix tapes.
HA!

I was pretty relieved last night
when Ramon got eliminated,
because I do like Louise.

I had a 94 Ford Escort too - got it for my 16th b-day. Luckily mine had AC and a boyfriend installed a CD player. It was such a good little car. My best friend had a 92 Escort - her's didn't have a passenger side mirror (that was considered an extra option, can you believe it?), no power steering (imagine parallel parking that bad boy!).
I love the simplicity of this outfit... you look so great (as you always do)! And you don't look tired, you look beautiful.
