veteran's day thrift!

In a few moments, my officemates
and myself will be attending the Veteran's Day parade.
Today's thrifted items are the tube top,
scarf, and pants!
details:

navy pinstripe pants: max studio (salvation army)
tweed tube top: express (savers)
white ruffled collar shirt: express
scarf as belt: savers
shoes: nine west (marshall's)

up top!
This outfit is a bit strange.
But. I think I like it!

scarf close-up:
better view of pinstripe in pants
brooch (handed down from mom)
earrings (not sure!)
cuff bracelet (salvation army, oh hey another thrifted item!)
shoes

hump day face
i hate to admit this but i went to bed at
7:45 last night.
my old parts get worn out quick sometimes!
but these old thrifted clothes seem to be holding
up rather well!
Happy Hump Day everyone!
Take the time if you can to honor our veterans
with a moment of silence or a prayer
or whatever it is you like to do to
honor someone.

Never seen a tube top worn like that, but I think I like it too.
Happy (if that's appropriate?) Veterans Day.

What a great use of that tweed tube top. can't say I have ever seen a tweed tube top before, and pretty sure I would have not been able to figure out a classy way to wear it, but you make it look effortless.

I love the idea of the corset top over a button down :)

I am LOVING this whole outfit-- I've never seen a tweed tube top (wow, say that three times fast!) before, but I love how you've styled it, especially with the scarf-as-belt. So fantastic!

Wow, I love that you used a tube top as a waistcoat *and* a scarf as a belt. I think I may have said this for every one of your last few entries, but I'm terribly impressed at how creative you are AND how your innovative looks always come off looking well-fitting and effortless.

Yep! You got ME, too, with that tube top. I might try it if I found one that was as dressy as yours. Your whole week of thrifty finds has been great! (Matched only by your incredibly beautiful smile.)

BTW, I'm wearing a skirt today with a similar "detail" as one of yours this week - a sweet pleat and "tab"....
