i must apologize for the flecks of dirt on the carpet.

it's been raining all week and the dog tends to drag in

dirt and mud, and as I was vacuuming the living room

on Monday, the vacuum cleaner started "smoking" kind of,

and now isn't working at all. Erik thinks he can fix it,

so I'll wait on him before running out and convincing

myself i need a really expensive Dyson that I can't afford.
