blue velvet vintage!

so...i had an ordeal last night with a raccoon in my chimney
and ended up getting almost no sleep, and as a result:
I called in sick today and totally enjoyed my day!
I have been meaning to visit Blue Velvet Vintage in Austin
for awhile (a friend of mine works there) and today
I finally had the opportunity!
I also went to the Salvation Army near my house,
but I'll save that for an entry tomorrow.
Purchases!
this shirt is a 1960s shirt. YAY!

oh by the way:
i got these sandals in the mail yesterday.
i ordered them from Newport News because they were on
clearance and I wanted something to wear with rompers in
Las Vegas in July (and flip flops just don't cut it in vegas.
I wore these all day long shopping and they held up very well!
No blisters or rubbing!

they have them in black too! i'm pretty sure they're still on sale
in the clearance section of their site (newport-news.com)

next purchase:
a minidress!!!
it fits really well but of course
is dastardly short.
i'd need to wear bloomers underneath it OR
wear it as a shirt. or both! just not at the same time.

i'm beginning to think i was born too late.

final purchase: 70s disco dress!
i think i would wear this to a formal event,
like at next year's convention.

totally funky.

and that's it for today folks!
have a great weekend!

The patterns on your top and dress are beautiful. And that aqua top is particularly flattering with your skin tone.

OMG I love them all! I think the minidress might work really well with very flared jeans or pants, or even a flowy miniskirt? It's all good!
