newspapers

let's talk about newspapers shall we?
i still subscribe to Austin's American-Statesman.
I really enjoy reading it over breakfast every single day.
And i realize delivering papers may not be the most fun or best
job in the world, but i also suspect it does not require enormous talent.
Maybe I'm wrong. Now, what I mean by talent is: is it really so hard to toss
a paper into someone's yard or onto their driveway? Particularly if said
driveway only has 1 car in it and the other half of the driveway is empty
and ready to accept a newspaper? Particularly if the person who lives at
said house makes a genuine effort each day to park so that the newspaper
has a place to land in the driveway, and not underneath the car?
Or WORSE:
ON FRIKKIN TOP OF IT????
Seriously. How does THAT happen?
Throw it in the damned driveway.
If I see another paper on TOP OF MY CAR (an SUV, a TALL car)
I am going to pay a visit to the paper and throw it on top
of someone's head.

and with that I bring you: MORE SHORTS AT THE OFFICE!
details:
shorts: target
black 3/4 length button down: old navy
short-sleeved checked blazer: ross
shoes: nine west (via marshall's)

up top 1

up top 2
earrings (?)
necklace (hannah d's):

bracelets (hannah d's):
shoes!
moar shoes:
me, prior to discovering the paper on top of the car:
i'd been looking for it all morning and assumed
that the delivery person just didn't deliver it (AGAIN).
maybe all this time it was missing it was on top of my car
(which is taller than me, so that would make it easy to miss).
Garrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Let's not focus on that, shall we (too late).
Instead let's smile and be happy no more dental work
needs to be done for quite some time and I can chew gum again!

I love this outfit and the shoes are fab! I just bought a pair of animal print peep-toes. I like them but wish the heel was higher. You look great!

Love all of the pieces in this outfit and the way they SNAP together so well! You have a talent!
And I really enjoy wearing those shorts to the office- they look very polished and professional but hip and young especially with the fab shoes.
I think you are going to have a hard time catching that paperboy to wack him- he's probably experienced at pedaling away from p.o.'ed customers... :)

That paperboy must have quite an arm to make it to the top of an SUV! At least there were no broken windows :)

They probably see it as a challenge to get the paper onto your car... it can't be accidental, surely.

Loooooooove the shoes! The ruching detail on the jacket is great too!

Our paper lands amazingly enough on the edge of our driveway every day. my husband picks it up on his way to work- unfortunately for him I think it usually is on the passenger side!

That's a striking jacket! I also love the necklace and walking shorts.

I soooo hear you about newspaper delivery people. I don't know how many old newspapers I've picked out from under the bushes weeks later ... exactly how they got there I have no clue.
